The search is on for energy innovations advancing performance and initiatives improving lives.
Now in its second edition, the Energy Asia Awards celebrate achievements across the energy sector and society. Submissions are open until 1 March 2027, with winners announced at Energy Asia from 2 to 4 June in Kuala Lumpur.
Across Asia, rising demand and geopolitical uncertainty are increasing pressure on energy security. Climate change adds urgency to the shift towards lower emissions, while affordability remains critical to economic growth.
The implications reach beyond the sector itself. Reliable access to energy supports livelihoods, education and economic participation. How the region responds will therefore affect not only the systems that power its economies, but also the people who depend on them.
Against this backdrop, “Reshaping Resilient Energy Systems”, the theme of Energy Asia 2027, is as much about solutions as it is the challenges ahead.
The Awards recognise work already delivering results and provide recipients with a regional platform that can help extend its reach.
Eureka Award – Innovation in Practice
The Eureka Award spotlights advances in how energy is produced, delivered or used.
Entries may span operational efficiency, emissions performance, renewable energy, system integration and emerging technologies. Eureka is not confined to major breakthroughs. It also embraces established capabilities applied in new ways and practical improvements to technical or operational processes.
Entrants should demonstrate what their innovation has achieved and its potential for adoption elsewhere.
Trailblazer Award- Strengthening Community Resilience
The Trailblazer Award champions initiatives shaped around the needs of people and communities.
Submissions may widen energy access, develop skills, strengthen livelihoods or help people navigate environmental pressures. Significance is not determined by scale alone. What matters is the difference made to those served.
Entrants should identify who has benefited, explain what changed and show how those gains can be sustained.
