Tengku Muhammad Taufik is the President and Group Chief Executive Officer of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS). He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Finance & Accounting from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and a Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
Tengku Taufik presently oversees board stewardship in several PETRONAS subsidiaries and is on the board of various international and industry-related organisations, including as Co-Chair of the World Economic Forum Oil & Gas Governors Community and Council Member of the Malaysia-Thailand Joint Authority. He is also the Pro-Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS.
In 2023, he was conferred the Darjah Kebesaran Panglima Setia Mahkota (P.S.M.) which carries the title ” Tan Sri,” in recognition of his services to Malaysia.
Dr. Daniel Yergin

Daniel Yergin is a respected authority on energy, international politics, and economics, and a Pulitzer Prize winner. He is Vice Chairman of S&P Global, and is chairman of S&P Global’s CERAWeek conference, which CNBC has called “the Super Bowl of energy”.
Dr. Yergin’s book The New Map: Energy, Climate and the Clash of Nations is described by NPR as “a master class on how the world works.” He is the author of the bestseller The Quest: Energy, Security and the Remaking of the Modern World. Dr. Yergin’s book The Prize: The Epic Quest for Oil Money and Power was awarded the Pulitzer Prize, was a number one New York Times bestseller and has been translated into 20 languages.
Dr. Atul Arya

Atul Arya is responsible for integrating energy content, analysis and insights across the entire energy value chain and for C-suite client engagements. Atul’s areas of expertise include energy strategy, upstream oil and gas, energy markets, energy technologies, climate change and energy transition. He held leadership positions with BP globally in oil and gas, solar PV, technology planning and corporate strategy.
Atul has served on boards of companies and institutions including Tata BP Solar, Green Mountain Energy and National Council for Atmospheric Research. He was a member of the World Economic Forum’s Agenda Councils on Climate Change, Advanced Energy Technologies & Future of Oil and Gas. He was the lead author of the Report on Multidimensional Energy Transition (2023) and coauthor of the paper The Troubled Energy Transition: How to Find a Pragmatic Path Forward in Foreign Affairs (2025). Atul was the project chair of the recently published S&P Global report Multidimensional Global Energy Pathways.
Atul led the program design and was lead moderator for India Energy Forum by CERAWeek from 2017 to 2021. He is a speaker and moderator at public conferences, company boards and industry events and is a member of the CERAWeek leadership team. Atul is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and holds B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in engineering.
