Bob is a recognized industry thought leader on all aspects of the Upstream. He advises Boards, CEO’s and management teams on strategic direction. He has been involved in many of the industries pivotal projects – TOR acquisition by Petrobras, a $10 billion arbitration; Oil export approval in the US; and restructuring of several of the industries major operators. He focusses on helping companies understand future trends and how to position themselves in the market. He also provides advice on how to build a better narative for shareholders. Bob has 40 yrs in the industry and has been an senior executive at ConocoPhillips as well as at S&P
Global (Now a part of S&P Global).

He sits on four industry Boards and is chair of the supply and demand committee at the Independent Petroluem Association of America (IPAA). He is a frequent industry executive speaker as well as media source for the major outlets. Bob holds a AB in Geology from Hamilton College and lives in Houston.

Carlos Pascual leads the integration of geopolitics, energy, and markets for S&P Global Commodity Insights. He works with clients globally on the challenges and opportunities of transitioning to a Net Zero emissions world and the implications for energy justice. Mr. Pascual also leads S&P Global Commodity Insights businesses in Latin America. Mr. Pascual was previously US Ambassador to both Mexico and Ukraine and was Special Assistant to the US president for Russia, Ukraine, and Eurasia on the National Security Council. As the former US Energy Envoy and Coordinator for International Energy Affairs at the State Department, Mr. Pascual established and directed the Energy Resources Bureau and served as the Senior Advisor to the Secretary of State on energy issues. Earlier, Mr. Pascual created the position of Coordinator for Reconstruction and Stabilization in the State Department, establishing the first civilian response capacity to conflicts. Mr. Pascual is also a non-resident fellow at Columbia University’s Center on Global Energy Policy and a distinguished fellow at the Atlantic Council. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University and a Master of Public Policy degree from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Gauri Jauhar is Executive Director, in S&P Global’s Energy Transition and Clean Tech Global Consulting team. She has 24+ years’ experience in energy systems thinking and problem solving with energy stakeholders, using the tools of applied economics and finance with wide regional experience in the United States, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Mumbai, New Delhi. Gauri focuses on:

She represents S&P Global in various industry bodies such as the US India Hydrogen Task Force, US India Strategic Partnership Forum’s Renewable Energy Task Force. Prior to joining S&P Global, Gauri was Commercial Advisor – Policy & Regulatory Affairs at BP in India. She was the gas policy lead for multi-disciplinary team leading BP’s energy reforms advocacy efforts in India. Prior to joining BP, Gauri was a Senior Consultant at PFC Energy (now part of S&P Global), leading PFC Energy’s Integrated Energy business in India and Singapore across the energy value chain.

Jane’s keen interest in economic and geopolitics of the energy sector has taken her from the world of journalism to the oil & gas realm with her joining the gas business to her current role at PETRONAS Strategic Research. She joined PETRONAS in 2012 and currently serves as Custodian of the Upstream Strategic Research where she is responsible in providing advisory role on LNG & Upstream Business to PETRONAS stakeholders.

She gained her in-depth understanding and knowledge in the oil and gas industry through her coverage of the sector as a journalist at Reuter News, Bloomberg and Dow Jones & Co for almost two decades.

Jane graduated with Bachelor of Mass Communications from Universiti Sains Malaysia.

Joyce Wang is Director of Automotive Technology & Aftermarket at S&P Global Mobility, focusing on technology trend forecasts and aftermarket analysis.

With 13 years of working experience in the automotive industry, Joyce specializes in supply chain analysis, opportunity identification and assessment, technology strategy for OEM product planning. Joyce has initially led component and technology research in China, later moving on to lead a team of 11 analysts in China, Japan, South Korea and Thailand. In past two years, Joyce has conducted several OEM workshops to support clients identifying market trends and business opportunities. In her current capacity, Joyce lead product innovation in aftermarket to support aftermarket players capture new business and improve supply chain management.

Joyce holds bachelor’s degree in management and master’s degree in economics.

Jenny Koo is a director in the Oil Markets, Midstream & Downstream Advisory team at S&P Global Commodity Insights based in Kuala Lumpur. With 13 years of experience in energy consulting, she currently supports the Southeast Asian downstream industry in the early stages of decarbonization.

Jenny has managed and participated in numerous regional strategy projects related to decarbonization of motor fuels and aviation fuels. In particular, her specialty revolves around the current and future governmental and regulatory aspects of the energy transition, from international agreements such as the Paris Agreement and CORSIA guidelines, to domestic regulations in Southeast Asia on low-carbon fuels, biofuels and e-mobility.

Judson Jacobs is an Executive Director with S&P Global in its Energy division.  In this role he leads the company’s international upstream strategy group, bringing together company, technology and innovation, and government and policy perspectives to deliver insights into the current state of the industry and future directions.  Recent research includes the emergence of commercial models for carbon management, finding the balance between upstream and new energy, and the growing role of digitalization in field development and asset operations. Prior to joining S&P Global, through its acquisition of Cambridge Energy Research Associates, Mr. Jacobs worked as a management consultant with the Mitchell Madison Group and held senior engineering positions with Schlumberger and Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. He earned a BSE from Princeton University and an MS in Geology from Stanford University.

Responsible for the product development, content and insights in the upstream business at S&P Global. Leanne has in-depth knowledge and broad experience across the Upstream Energy Industry, with her focus on leading digital transformation in upstream and connecting to the Energy Value Chain. Her focus has spanned Sales, business development, product management and new technology development. Digital transformation strategies and best practices, modern data solutions and commercial and cultural implications to the organization are areas of expertise. She has held executive leadership positions at IHS Markit in Sales and product management and senior leadership roles in energy consulting and software companies. She holds a BA from the University of Calgary.

Michael Stoppard is Global Gas Strategy Lead & Special Advisor with S&P Global. He is a member of the S&P Global Commodity Insights (SPGCI) Leadership Team and also sits on the Gas, Power, & Climate Solutions management team. Previously he spent a decade as Chief Strategist Global Gas at IHS Markit, and Vice Chairman CERAWeek, the world’s premier annual energy conference. Prior to that, he led the global gas team at IHS CERA. He is responsible for the development and coordination of the SPGCI global and interregional coverage of gas markets and LNG. Before joining IHS Markit, Mr. Stoppard was a research fellow at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies (OIES) where he set up the gas programme.

Marina is the Vice President, Treasury of PETRONAS. With over 24 years experience in the oil, gas and energy industry, she is also a Board Member of PETRONAS Gas Berhad; a public listed subsidiary of PETRONAS in Malaysia, and several other PETRONAS related companies.

Marina started her career in PETRONAS in 1999, and assumed managerial and leadership roles in finance and strategy, including Head of Strategic Planning for the Group’s Petroleum Management Unit, Country Head of Brunei Operations and Head of Corporate Strategic Planning.

Marina holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from the University of Exeter, UK, and a Masters in Petroleum Business Management from the University of Adelaide, Australia.  She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).  Marina attended the Advanced Management program in Harvard Business School.

Nicholas’s focus is on Country level analysis and long-term outlook for the downstream oil market. He has also experiences, both in the form of research and consulting, in multiple facets of the downstream segment, ranging from refining and retail fuel segments to more niche segments such as aviation. The leads with Asia team on the Downstream Market Profile and Annual Strategic Workbook publications.

Nirmal Shani is responsible for the Asia Pacific region at CERAWeek by S&P Global. He joined the firm (then IHS) in 2011 as its first Country Manager in India, covering the South Asian region for all business lines and moved across various teams before assuming the current role in Dubai. Prior to joining S&P Global in 2011, Nirmal was the Business Head with Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) India. He spent nine years at D&B across sales, operations, data architecture, and general management, setting up and growing the business for multiple product lines. Nirmal holds an MBA in marketing and is a meditator, actively involved with charitable organizations.

Nick Sharma is an Executive Director of Upstream Energy at S&P Global Commodity Insights. He is a strategic advisor to the oil and gas industry.

Nick brings close to 20 years of E&P and energy experience. His current mandate is to develop and lead the delivery of our latest regional and global upstream research to clients across the Asia Pacific region. Nick is an experienced leader in delivering our latest insights on exploration/supply outlook, company strategy/performance, valuations/M&A, costs/supply chain, regulatory/fiscal analysis, government policy, and E&P technology trends.

Nick previously led regional advisory practice for 6 years, working with a range of clients (NOCs, IOCs, Independents, Service Companies, Financial Services, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Ministry, and Regulators).

Paul Markwell, Senior Associate, S&P Global, is an independent Energy sector advisor with 40 years’ experience spanning technical and executive roles in upstream oil and gas companies, and research and advisory firms. His current focus is around helping energy sector players accelerate the use of new technologies in low carbon solutions. Paul spent 17 years with IHS Markit companies until 2021 and is a longstanding speaker and moderator at CERAWeek. In his last full-time position at IHS Markit he was Vice President for its Global Upstream Oil & Gas Insight business, where his teams provided insights and consulting services to a wide range of energy sector players on themes including company strategies and transactions; E&P terms and aboveground risk; costs, technology and basin strategies. Previously in IHS and CERA he led various research and consulting teams and he led a number of energy policy advisory programs for governments in the MENA region. Paul previously held posts at McKinsey and Company as an upstream expert consultant and as European Petroleum Practice Manager. The first half of his career was spent in operational, commercial and country manager roles in Shell and other international E&P in the Netherlands, Thailand, the UK and Pakistan. Mr. Markwell holds a BSc from Imperial College, London, and an MBA from Henley Management College. He is a Fellow of the Energy Institute in the UK and an Honorary Fellow of Brunel University, London, where he served as an independent member of Council and Audit committee chair.

Rohini Samtani serves as Business Development Manager for Climate Risk at S&P Global Sustainable1. She focuses on the strategic development of S&P Global Physical Risk products in Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Middle East regions.

Prior to joining S&P Global Sustainable1, was at Bloomberg LP, focused on selling the broad range of financial data products. She had a key focus on business development of the Sustainable Finance solutions and solutions to banks in Southeast Asia region.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) in Communications and New Media from the National University of Singapore.

Dr. Rashika Gupta, Director, S&P Global, is part of Gas, Power and Climate Solutions Division of Commodity Insights and leads the South Asia Power & Renewables team. Dr. Gupta has about seventeen years of experience in energy markets and her core competencies include market analysis (power and fuels), power market modeling, asset valuations, power contract structuring, pricing and risk assessment, hydro asset optimization and sales strategies, forecasting and scheduling of renewables (wind and solar), regulatory and commercial analysis, and power trading (electricity derivatives). Prior to joining S&P Global, she spent five years with Statkraft Markets as a senior manager, where she held various roles with responsibilities including power market analysis, commercial assessment, trading portfolio optimization, and balancing. Dr. Gupta also worked as a senior consultant with ICF International, where she was involved in consulting projects related to analysis of power and fuel markets, policy, regulations, environmental impacts, and strategy formulation for various energy sector stakeholders. Ms. Gupta holds a BA (Hons) from Kirori Mal College, an MA from Hansraj College, and a PhD from Delhi University. She was also awarded with the college Gold Medal and Certificate of Merit in 2001 for her MA.

Mr. Narayanaswamy is a Vice President responsible for Industry Executive relationship for the Fuels, Chemicals and Resources (FCRS) business unit covering Middle East, Indian Sub-Continent and Asia Pacific region. He joined Purvin & Gertz in 2005, which was acquired by IHS Markit in 2011, and in turn acquired by S&P Global in 2022 and is based at their Singapore office. Mr. Narayanaswamy has more than 30 years of diverse oil industry experience spanning both refining and petrochemicals. Mr. Narayanaswamy frequently presents to CEO’s and Senior Management of oil companies, and at IHS Markit and other third-party conferences. He previously had Lube basestock Operations and Process Engineering, Production Planning, Asia Pacific Petrochemical Feedstocks Economics and Optimization, and Manufacturing Advisor for Aromatic facilities globally with increasing responsibilities at ExxonMobil, Singapore where he worked for 11 years. Prior to that, he worked at Hindustan Petroleum at their Mumbai refinery, India. Mr. Narayanaswamy holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and an MBA.

She has shone on the global stage & screen for more than 20 years, having broadcast for leading U.S, European and Middle Eastern television networks, including Bloomberg TV, CNBC, Euronews, CBC, ADIPEC TV and Dubai One Television.

Rebecca has interviewed hundreds of CEOs, ministers, heads of state & celebrities over the years, and has regularly contributed to publications from The National newspaper and Wall Street Journal to Vogue Magazine and the South China Morning Post.

Rachel Calvert, director for the Upstream Transformation team at S&P Global Commodity Insights, specializes in transitioning the upstream sector to a low-carbon future.

Rachel is Director of S&P Global Commodity Insights Upstream Energy’s Upstream Transformation service, based in Singapore. She leads the global team responsible for developing insights that enable upstream stakeholders to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from their core oil and gas operations and navigate change during the energy transition. She also leads the team responsible for forecasting and benchmarking above-ground risks for the upstream sector in Asia Pacific. Rachel brings 15 years of experience in policy, regulatory and risk analysis, as well as global benchmarking. Previously, she led the Singapore branch and Asia analysis division of Exclusive Analysis (now S&P Global Commodity Insights), overseeing numerous risk projects for clients in a wide range of sectors.

Rachel holds a Master of Arts in political science from Johns Hopkins University, United States.

Ruslan Halim Islahudin is currently the Head of Human Capital Development at PETRONAS and Chief Executive Officer of PETRONAS Leadership Centre.

He began his career in 1997 as an oil and derivatives trader at PETRONAS Trading Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (PETCO). Since then, he has held various leadership roles namely Head of Risk Management at PETCO, Executive Assistant to the President & Group CEO, and Head of Corporate Strategy & Communications at ENGEN Petroleum Ltd. in Cape Town, South Africa.

Prior to assuming his current role, he was the Asia Pacific Regional Business Head at PETRONAS Lubricants International Sdn. Bhd (PLISB).

Sukanya Boonneung, is currently an Executive Director of S&P Global Commodity Insights (SPGCI), Chemical Consulting Team, based in Bangkok.  Sukanya has acquired more than 20 years of experience in petrochemical consulting business through several assignments with the clients in Asia.  She develops relationships with clients in the region through project works which included petrochemical master plan study, feasibility study, lenders’ independent market advisory, business valuation and market evaluation.

Sukanya completed an MBA from Birmingham University majoring Finance in 1996.

She is a sustainability enthusiast working on transforming sustainable growth and enabling climate and ESG data integration, 13 years working experience in ESG consultancy, Sustainability reporting, impact investment and ESG risk management; Her expertise is in area of Net Zero Target Setting, ESG Disclosure, ESG risk mitigation, Climate Finance, Climate Scenarios Analysis TCFD reporting; impact assessment and public policy.

Wan Shamilah is currently the Head of Group Corporate Finance. A PETRONAS Scholar, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Accounting from University of Bristol, England. She is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. She attended Advanced Management Program (AMP) at Harvard Business School in 2016.

Shamilah joined PETRONAS in 1993 and has served in variety of roles across several business segments. She gained early exposure to strategic C-suite conversations in leading several mergers and acquisitions projects. Subsequently, she was the Chief Financial Officer for three key subsidiaries within the group, being PETRONAS Gas Berhad, Malaysia LNG Sdn Bhd and PETRONAS Chemicals Group. She has also held the position of Senior General Manager for Crude Oil Marketing & Trading and Corporate Strategic Planning of PETRONAS. Prior to her current role, she led digital transformation for PETRONAS as Chief Digital Officer.

Shamilah currently serves as a Board Member for MISC Berhad and several subsidiaries within the PETRONAS Group.
