Kuala Lumpur, 16 December 2024 – PETRONAS today introduced the Energy Asia Awards as part of Energy Asia 2025, an initiative to recognise outstanding achievements and leadership in advancing a just energy transition.
In line with the Conference theme, ‘Delivering Asia’s Energy Transition’, the awards seek to showcase innovators and companies delivering impactful solutions to address the region’s growing energy demand, reduce CO2 emissions as well as promote systemic changes towards sustainability while prioritising people and communities at the core of the energy transition.
These awards have been designed to complement Energy Asia’s comprehensive agenda of constructive dialogues between global leaders and business executives on how Asia can achieve a sustainable future that tackles emissions while preserving its ability to pursue economic growth and social progress.
PETRONAS Senior General Manager, Energy Asia & Strategy, Planning and Governance, Group Strategic Relations and Communications, Datin Arni Laily Anwarrudin, commented: “The world of energy is interconnected and no single industry can address the energy transition alone. It is a monumental task that demands collective effort and collaboration from all stakeholders”.
She added, “As such we are pleased to introduce the Energy Asia Awards, designed to recognise and celebrate individuals, organisations and initiatives leading the charge in shaping a cleaner, sustainable future – serving as an inspiration for others to follow.”
