The Energy Asia Awards celebrate outstanding achievements and leadership in driving impactful solutions in advancing a just and equitable energy transition.
These Awards honour individuals and organisations leading the change to meet growing energy demands, reduce carbon emissions, and foster systematic change toward sustainability while prioritising people and communities at the heart of the transition.
The Energy Asia Awards comprises two categories, reflecting the two essential aspects of the transition: technological innovation and social impacts. With a growth mindset to succeed, these trailblazing change-makers boldly chart a future brimming with potential, igniting a powerful wave of inspiration that compels others to take transformative action and turn vision into reality.
Winners will gain access to supportive and influential networks of like-minded individuals and organisations, build strategic partnerships, attract investments and scale innovations for even greater impact.

Awards Categories
Eureka Award
Innovation Category
- This Award honours innovative projects that address the environmental challenges in the Asian energy landscape. These include solutions related to:
- Decarbonization, including but not limited to emission reduction projects for fossil fuel facilities and processes, as well as clean energy solutions.
- Resource efficiency, mainly related to water and energy consumption.
- Entries will be considered over a 2-to-5-year time scale, but activities during 2023-2024 must be demonstrated.
- The project or initiative must be within the range of ‘pilot stage’ to ‘commercialisation’ and ready to be scaled or execution stage.
Entries shall demonstate:
Impact
Demonstrate measurable evidence of the project’s impact on both the business and environmental goals. e.g. emissions reduction, energy savings, cost savings, etc.
Innovation
Solution should be innovative and offer new approaches in addressing climate change and the gap it addresses. The solution may lead to decisive action and drive change to meet climate targets.
Replicability/Scalability
Potential for the project to be scaled or replicated in other contexts, markets, or regions.
Sustainability
Projects must be sustainable in the long-term, both environmentally and economically.
Trailblazer Award
Social Impact Category
- This Award honours social impact projects that advances a just energy transition in Asia and support socio-economic development in either of these three areas:
- Education
- Environment
- Energy security, affordability and accessibility
- Entries will be considered over a 2-to-5-year time scale, but activities during 2023-2024 must be demonstrated.
Entries shall demonstate:
Impact
How the project addresses social inequalities and empowers marginalised or vulnerable groups in all aspects of the energy sector.
Innovation
Unique and creative approaches to solving social challenges related to energy transition.
Replicability/Scalability
Potential for the project to be scaled or replicated in other contexts, markets, or regions.
Sustainability
The project should show long-term sustainable benefits and value for both local communities and the entity itself.
Who is eligible
to apply?
All organisations and individuals from across the world are welcome to enter the Energy Asia Awards.

- Login to the Energy Asia Awards submission portal HERE and register your project or initiative.
- Select and fill in the form for your chosen category.
- Submit application.
FAQ
- Participants shall demonstrate visually compelling stories via video that showcase initiatives addressing the energy transition and its impact to the industry and community. The video must be uploaded to a file hosting service such as Google Drive, Youtube, Vimeo and Frame.io with the viewing link set to open.
- All sections and questions in the application form are mandatory, except for those marked as 'optional'.
- Provide strong supporting evidence, such as photos & videos relating to the project/initiative and endorsements from participants.
There is no fees in submitting an entry in the award.
Yes, you may submit entries for both the Eureka and Trailblazer category.
The write-up must be in English. For video submissions, you may use other languages, provided that English subtitles are included in the video.
The submission deadline is fixed on 31 March 2025. We highly recommend starting applications early as late submissions will not be accepted.
Yes, you may edit applications up until the submission deadline. Once submitted, applicants will no longer be able to make changes to their application.
All applications are first reviewed by the Energy Asia Awards Committee. Shortlisted applications will then be further evaluated by the esteemed Panel of Judges comprising of industry captains from various sectors and regions.
Yes. All successful submissions will receive a notification email.
Finalists will be contacted via email by the Energy Asia Awards Secretariat in May 2025.
The Energy Asia Awards Secretariat will reach out to you to arrange for flights, accommodation and access to the Energy Asia Conference for the pitching session on 15th June and throughout your stay.
Winners will be revealed during the Energy Asia conference in Kuala Lumpur on 16th June 2025.
